Abstract

Annotated list of about forty selected World Wide Web sites in English that are relevant to understanding the more traditionally religious Jewish community. The sites include resource indexes and information about kosher food, Jewish calendars, music, communities, and Torah learning. The sites are classified into 13 categories. The article concludes with a glossary, references, and an index. Updated mid-January 1998.

Author Biography & Related Information

Jacob (Yaakov) Shulman, currently a Senior Librarian in the Cataloging Department of Brooklyn Public Library, received his M. L. S. from the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. He has recently completed a research fellowship at Yeshiva Ohr Hachaim in Flushing, NY, which is affiliated with Touro College. He holds rabbinical degrees from Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin, Yeshiva Shaar Hatorah, as well as a B.S. in computer science from Touro College.
